The number of primary cooperatives affiliated to the Union are 157. which makes the members 125,716 (106,376 males and 19,340females), and the union capital was increased to 349,404,930.87 ETB.

The union was established to solve socio economic problem of members which is beyond the capacity of primary farmer’s cooperatives

HFCO
HFCO is a smallholder farmer-owned cooperative union based in the Eastern Hararghe Zone of Oromia regional State initially with working scope of two districts. Now the working scope of the union was affiliated in to thirteen districts namely; Kersa, baddannoo , Haramaya, Konbolcha, jarsoo , chelankoo Midhega-Tola and chenaksen Mekenisa-oromo, kurfaa callee, Gola odaa, mayuu mulke Maayaa City districts.
Head Quarter
The headquarter of the union was located at Maya City, Haramaya subcity, on the way of Dande Boruu high-school.
